Licensing

The main legislative instrument regulating the licensing process in Belarus is the Decree of the President No. 450 as of September 1, 2010 “On licensing of certain types of activities”. 

In order to implement some types of activities, the list of which is given in the attached file, it is necessary to receive a special permit (license).

To obtain a license, it is necessary to apply to the state licensing authority with an appropriate application and relevant documents, as well as pay a state duty, which amounts to 8 basic units, as a general rule.

The license is issued for a period of not less than 5 and not more than 10 years.

Business activities carried out without a license, when the license is obligatory , or in violation of the rules and conditions of the implementation of activities provided in licenses is the basis for the imposition of administrative sanctions, and activities associated with obtaining large amounts of income — basis for prosecution.
