Home › Tourism › Toll road network in Belarus
Since August 1st 2013 the electronic toll collection system “BelToll” has been put into commercial operations in Belarus.
Starting from November 1st 2016, toll will be applied to new road sections in the Republic of Belarus:
The total length of toll roads will thus amount to km 1,614.
The use of the “BelToll” system is compulsory for drivers, steering the following types of vehicles:
Vehicles with Maximum Laden Weight not exceeding 3.5 tons registered inside the Customs Union are not liable to pay the toll fee.
The following categories of vehicles are also exempted from the electronic toll payment:
The amount of toll depends on vehicle’s maximum laden weight and number of axles.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus imposed the following rates for the calculation of toll fees collected on the toll roads depending on vehicle’s Maximum Laden Weight and number of axles:
For the usage of the electronic toll collection system “BelToll” drivers need to register in the system, sign a contract and rent an Onboard Unit (OBU). It can be done in one of the Customer Service Points (Customer Service Points current addresses and their working hours are available at www.beltoll.by).
All the necessary information on the electronic toll collection system “BelToll”, vehicles obliged to pay toll, tariffs and regulations as well as on the mounting of the OBU can be obtained at BelToll Call Center Infoline +375 (172) 798 798 working 24/7.
Electronic Toll Collection System: How to Use and Pay Toll
Toll Roads Map and Customer Service Points
During Second European Games in Belarus from June, 10 to July, 10 2019 motor vehicles with a maximum laden weight not exceeding 3.5 tons and trailers towed by them will be exempted from toll payments.
Use of toll roads during that period for the above category of vehicles do NOT require contract for the use of toll roads, registration of a vehicle in the BelToll system, and installation of an OBU on the vehicle.
IF you already HAVE A CONTRACT and you plan to use toll roads from June, 10 to July, 10 2019, the OBU can be placed in protective packaging (metallized bag); otherwise the device will emit signals when passing under toll collection gantries that will need to be followed according to the user manual. But you WON’T BE CHARGED anyway.
